The Castaldo family of Silicone Moulding rubbers are synthetic rubber compounds especially designed for use in the lost wax casting method of making precious metal jewellery.

Castaldo silicone rubber may also be used for the direct casting of low temperature metals with melt points of up to approximately 315ºC

Castaldo Silicone Moulding rubber has the following advantages:

Easy to work with:

Castaldo Silicone Moulding rubber has the consistency of modelling clay or putty, which means that mould packing time is reduced to a few minutes.  There is no need to cut and shape the pieces to fit the mould frame.  Merely pull off a piece with your fingers and push it into the frame as desired.

Easy to Cut:

Moulds made of Castaldo Silicone Moulding rubber are firm, yet “cut like butter”.

No Release Spray Needed:

Wax patterns release easily because the rubber already contains anti-stick compounds.

High Shine finish:

Moulds made of Castaldo Silicone Moulding Rubber provide waxes with an extremely shiny finish, improving the eventual finish of the casting.

Available in two sizes:
